Abstract
Un procedimiento de producción de corriente eléctrica utilizando un generador electroquímico que posee por lo menos una célula con al menos un compartimiento anódico en el que se encuentra, durante la producción de corriente, un electrólito acuoso, llamado electrólito primario, en movimiento, que contienen partículas constituidas al menos en parte, por una materia metálica activa, y llamadas partículas activas, pudiendo esta materia activa oxidarse electroquímicamente en compartimiento anódico perdiendo electrones recogidos por al menos un colector de electrones anódico, caracterizado porque durante la producción de corriente sensiblemente toda la superficie del colector anódico situada del lado del electrólito primario está constituida por una materia metálica que se encuentra en estado pasivado, y porque, con anterioridad a la producción de corriente, se pone en contacto esta superficie con un electrólito acuoso, llamado electrólito secundario, llevándose entonces esta superficie a un potencial inferior al potencial de equilibrio Va de la reacción electroquímica de reducción del agua de este electrólito secundario, liberando hidrógeno esta reacción de reducción.
