Abstract
Un método para detectar la presencia de un artículo adyacente a un elemento de percepción metálico por medio de una corriente eléctrica inducida, el cual comprende las operaciones de: proporcionar una corriente alterna a una resistencia que tiene un lado de la misma conectado a dicho elemento de percepción; inducir una corriente en dicha resistencia como resultado de un acoplamiento capacitivo de dicho artículo y de dicho elemento de percepción; generar electrónicamente una cantidad de señal representativa del voltaje entre crestas a través de dicha resistencia resultante de dicha corriente inducida.
