Abstract

Un procedimiento mejorado para la preparación de ésteres de oxalato de un alcohol que consiste hacer reaccionar, bajo condiciones esencialmente anhidras, un alcohol alifático, aliciclico o de aralquilo saturado monohídrico que contiene de 1 a 20 átomos de carbono con una mezcla de monóxido de carbono y oxígeno a una presión de entre aproximadamente 35,150 kilogramos por centímetro cuadrado manométrica y 210,900 kilogramos por centímetro cuadrado manométrica a una temperatura dentro de la escala de aproximadamente 40ºC a 150ºC en presencia de una cantidad efectiva de una mezcla catalítica.
