Abstract
Perfeccionamientos en las pilas eléctricas alcalinas, que tiene un electrodo negativo, un electrolito alcalino, un electrodo positivo de óxido de plata bivalente que tiene un contenido de óxido de plata bivalente (Ag0) de por lo menos 50% en peso y un separador de barrera semipermeable entre dichos electrodos negativo y positivo, caracterizados por la incorporación de un compuesto de oro en el material activo de óxido de plata bivalente después de la formación del óxido de planta bivalente, hallándose presente el oro en una cantidad que oscila entre unos 0,1 y unos 10% en peso de plata en el material activo del electrodo positivo, por lo que se mejora la estabilidad del material de óxido de plata bivalente en el electrolito alcalino de modo que proporcionar menos de unos 65 microlitros de gas por gramo y por hora cuando se mide a 165ºF (aprox. 74ºC) en una batería o pila que tiene u electrolito de 18% en peso de hidróxido sódico.
