Abstract
Procedure for the preparation of tri-iodo-isophthalic acid mono (amino acid amides) dicarboxylic acid derivatives of the general formula I **(See formula)** where A is an aminoacyl radical; X means a direct bond or a straight or branched hydrocarbon chain of 1 to 14 carbon atoms, which may be interrupted by one or more oxygen or sulfur atoms; and R1 and R2 are different and signify a hydroxy group or the group (see formula), R3 and R4 meaning, independently of each other, hydrogen atoms, lower alcoholic groups possibly substituted with hydroxy groups, or R3 and R4 signifying together with the atom nitrogen a heterocyclic radical, which can be interrupted by another heteroatom, as well as its salts with physiologically compatible bases, characterized in that a compound of the general formula III is reacted **(See formula)** formula I, with a carboxylic acid derivative of general formula IV Hal-CO-X-CO-Hal IV where B X has the meanings indicated in formula I and Hal represents a chlorine or bromine atom, and eventually it is transformed into a salt with a physiologically compatible base.
