Abstract

Improvements to the gas cap-injector assemblies, particularly for introducing gas into a tube adapted to transport granular particles, the assembly comprising a sleeve adapted to be coupled to the tube around a hole in it and a gas plug-injector that must be supported by the sleeve and extending through the sleeve so that at its downstream end it is disposed in the hole and a gas supply hole in the plug communicating with a gas nozzle extending to the surface of the downstream end of the plug, characterized in that the plug (4) is held in the sleeve (6) by a retaining cap (8) adapted to be arranged around at least a part of the upstream ends of the plug and of the sleeve, said sleeve being adapted in cooperation with said retaining cap to retain the surface (12) of the downstream end of the plug in a a predetermined position with reference to the inner surface (36) of the tube (14).
