Procedure for obtaining a plasminogen activator, characterized in that an acetonic powder is treated from animal organs chosen from the lungs and kidneys of pigs, calves, oxen, horses, lambs or rams or the ovaries of pigs, bovines or sheep, by : a) suspending said powder in a saline aqueous solution of small ionic strength in the vicinity of neutrality; b) taking the precipitate obtained in step a in an aqueous saline solution of ionic strength comprised between approximately 0.6 and 1 at a pH comprised between approximately 3 and 5; c) precipitation of the solution obtained after decantation in step b by adding a salt or an organic solvent at a pH comprised between approximately 3 and 5; d) taking the precipitate obtained in the stage or with water or a saline solution and precipitation by adding a salt at a pH close to or slightly higher than 7; e) taking the precipitate obtained in step d with water and dialysis the solution to a resistivity of the order of 1000 ohm.cm at 10ºC; then, f) possible purification of the solution obtained.
