Abstract
Improvements in battery units for peak consumption for an energy cell, characterized in that, when the unit cooperates with an energy cell (10) that has a pair of output terminals through which current is supplied to a load, it comprises a battery (20) adapted to supply additional current to said load and connected in parallel with said power cell output terminals, switch means (24), normally of high impedance, connected in series with said battery, means (32) connected in parallel with said power cell output terminals to generate an output pulse of a fixed duration when the output voltage of said power cell drops below a predetermined value, and means (34-50) connecting said pulse of output to said switch means (24) to cause the activation of said switch means (24) and to allow only current to flow from the from said battery (20) towards said charge while said output pulse lasts.
