Procedure for preparing thiazolsulfenamides, of general formula: **(See formula)** in which R1 and R2, identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl or alkyloxy radical comprising 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an aryl radical comprising 6 to 12 carbon atoms, or together they form a divalent radical of general formula: **(See formula)** wherein R', R'', R''' and R'''', identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, an alkyl or alkyloxy radical comprising from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an aryl radical comprising 6 to 12 carbon atoms; R3 and R4, identical or different, represent a hydrogen atom; linear or branched alkyl radicals comprising from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl radicals comprising from 5 to 12 carbon atoms; arylalkyl radicals comprising 7 to 15 carbon atoms, or together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, form a heterocycle comprising 5 to 7 membered links and 1 to 3 heteroatoms taken from the group of nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur, optionally substituted by alkyl or alkyloxy groups comprising 1 to 5 carbon atoms; characterized by reacting, in the presence of oxygen or a gas that contains it, a mercapto-2 thiazole of the general formula: **(See formula)** with a nitrogenous compound of general formula: **(See formula)** R1, R2, R3 and R4 having the meanings given above in the presence of a copper catalyst or its derivatives other than copper and phthalocyanine complexes.
