Abstract

Un procedimiento de fabricación de un electrodo para procedimientos electroquímicos de substrato conductor y relativamente inerte hecho, al menos superficialmente , de titanio o una aleación de titanio,. Caracterizado por el hecho de que se somete a este substrato a una limpieza química , de que se le recubre después con una capa de composición de revestimiento que contiene esencialmente compuestos susceptibles de descomposición térmica, de iridio y de por lo menos un metal no noble elegido entre el litio, el boro, el berilio, el magnesio, el galio y el germanio en un vehículo líquido estando comprendida la proporción atómica de iridio/metal no noble entre 1/4 y 8/1, y de que se seca el substrato así revestido, el cual se calienta a continuación en atmósfera oxidante entre 350 y 800ºC a fin de formar en la superficie del substrato un revestimiento protector y electrocatalítico.
