Abstract

Procedure for obtaining derivatives of iraidazo [2,1-a] isoindol, of formula I, **(See formula)** wherein each of R and R1, which may be the same or different, means a hydrogen, chlorine or fluorine atom, characterized in that a compound of **(See formula)** where R and R1 have the meanings indicated above, and R2 means an alkyl radical of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or a radical of formula III, **(See formula)** wherein each of R3 and R4, which may be the same or different, means a hydrogen, chlorine, or bromine atom, or a straight-chain alkyl radical containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms, with the proviso that when each one of R3 and R4 has a meaning other than a hydrogen atom, at least one of R3 and R4 is in a position other than an ortho position of the phenyl ring, with 85 to 100% (by weight) of acid sulfuric or 85 to 100% (by weight) of phosphoric acid, conveniently at a temperature of from about 15º to about 75ºC, preferably from about 30º to about 65ºC, and more preferably about. 50º to approx. 65ºC.
