Abstract
An electronic gun arrangement for a cathode ray tube, comprising a plurality of electronic guns attached side by side to a plurality of insulating support rods, each electronic gun including a cathode electrode and a plurality of electrodes spaced apart, one has an opening through it, aligned with the cathode electrode, one of the electrodes of each barrel comprising a first tubular focusing electrode, a pair of separate magnetic pole plates, fixed to each focusing electrode, said arrangement being characterized in that each barrel includes a combined support member and magnetic shield, made of a single piece of magnetic metal and provided with an electrode support strip separated axially from the barrel pole plates and attached to the tubular electrode of focus, and a second strip that runs between the pole plates of the canyon and those of a contiguous cannon, to magnetically shield the pole plates of the cannons from each other.
