Abstract

A bucket loader having a hydraulic jack to tilt the bucket about its pivot point on a lift frame includes detent means holding the valve, which controls the jack, in open position and an electrical switch and actuating means associated respectively with different telescoping portions of the jack and operable when the bucket reaches a set position, e.g. the loading position, to release the valve. The detent means comprise a roller on a pivoted lever and urged by a spring into engagement with a notched part of the manual control lever of the valve. Actuation of the switch operates a solenoid to move the pivoted lever either directly or through a hydraulic piston cylinder unit.
