Abstract

This rod is produced from one or more bodies of suitable shapes and sizes made of hard or elastically deformable plastic and being capable of functioning as a regulator. The body or bodies are appropriately arranged inside the cartridge directly in combination with the charge and the lead shot or inside a cup forming a skirt. The cup has a rear sealing skirt (3) separated from a front skirt (1d) receiving the charge of lead shot by a transverse partition (1h). The skirt interacts in its rear part facing the powder with a slug (4) made of elastically deformable flexible material and shaped to penetrate into the skirt (3) during firing, in order, on the one hand, to ensure perfect sealing by being laid against the separating partition (1h) and, on the other hand, to assist the expansion of the skirt (3) when it leaves the muzzle of the barrel.
