Abstract

Un conjunto de forro para una tobera de alto horno que tiene una superficie interna, comprendiendo dicho conjunto de forro: un forro tubular metálico; teniendo dicho forro metálico una porción principal de forro metálico que termina en una porción de boca aguas abajo; medios en dicho forro que cooperan con la tobera para proporcionar un cierre hermético al gas entre la superficie interior de dicha tobera y dicho forro, sin unir el forro a la tobera; comprendiendo dichas medios para proporcionar dicho cierre hermético al gas una pestaña metálica que se extiende radialmente hacia fuera desde dicha porción de boca hasta un borde de pestaña periférico situado a una distancia radial predeterminada desde dicha porción de boca a la temperatura ambiente, siendo dicha pestaña continua alrededor de la periferia de la porción de boca del forro; y una pluralidad de capas de papel de fibra refractaria dispuestas alrededor de dicha porción principal de forro hasta una gruesa total de papel que no excedesustancialmente la dimensión radial de dicha pestaña.
