Abstract

Protector de bridas, destinado a ir unidos a una brida del tipo que tiene una superficie mecanizada, un borde anular y una pluralidad de agujeros para tornillos, cuyos agujeros atraviesan la brida, caracterizado porque comprende: una cubierta con forma circular de material flexible que tiene un canto anular exterior biselado; cuya cubierta tiene un lado formado para adaptarse a la forma de la superficie mecanizada de la brida y que se extiende sobre los extremos de los agujeros de los tornillos cerrándolos y que tiene el canto anular biselado situado e n el canto anular de la brida, de modo que la cubierta se acople a toda la superficie mecanizada y el canto biselado anular evite el desplazamiento involuntario de la cubierta de la brida; una pluralidad de medios de sujeción que se extienden desde el citado lado de la cubierta para acoplarse con fricción en la pared o superficie interna de los agujeros de los tornillos para retener el lado de la cubierta acoplado con la superficie mecanizadade la brida; comprendiendo cada uno de los medios de sujeción: un fuste tubular alargado que se extiende desde la cubierta hasta un extremo abierto; siendo el fuste tubular substancialmente hueco desde la cubierta hasta el extremo abierto; y teniendo el fuste tubular una longitud más corta que la longitud de los agujeros de los tornillos que atraviesan la brida.
