Abstract

Un aparato de diálisis, que comprende: un dializador (13); un sistema (12) de distribución de fluido de diálisis conectado para comunicación de fluido con el dializador (13) y que comprende una primera bomba (P1), una segunda bomba (P2), una cámara (26) de calibración y un detector (28) de nivel de fluido para detectar un nivel de fluido de diálisis en la cámara (26) de calibración, El sistema (12) de distribución de fluido de diálisis es operable para establecer selectivamente una ruta de flujo principal que se extiende desde la primera bomba (P1) a la segunda bomba (P2) a través del dializador (13), de modo que las bombas (P1, P2) primera y segunda estén conectadas aguas arriba y aguas abajo del dializador (13) para bombear el fluido de diálisis a través del dializador (13), y una trayectoria de flujo de derivación que desvía el dializador (13) y se extiende desde la primera bomba (P1) a la segunda bomba (P2) en comunicación fluida con la cámara (26) de calibración; una unidad (30) de control conectada eléctricamente al sistema (12) de distribución de fluido de diálisis y que es operable para controlar una frecuencia respectiva de la primera y segunda bombas (P1, P2), en donde la primera y segunda bombas (P1, P2) están configuradas para generar un caudal respectivo descargando repetidamente, en la frecuencia respectiva, un volumen de carrera respectivo de fluido de diálisis; caracterizado en que la unidad (30) de control está configurada para, en un modo de calibración, realizar un primer y segundo procedimiento de medición mientras opera el sistema (12) de distribución de fluido de diálisis para establecer la ruta de flujo de derivación; en donde el primer procedimiento de medición comprende: controlando la primera y segunda bombas (P1, P2) para operar en una primera combinación de frecuencias que resulta en una primera diferencia de velocidad de flujo entre las tasas de flujo generadas por la primera y segunda bombas (P1, P2), y la medición, por el detector de nivel de fluido, un primer período de tiempo correspondiente a un primer cambio en el nivel de fluido de diálisis en la cámara (26) de calibración como resultado de la primera diferencia de caudal, el primer cambio en el nivel de fluido de diálisis correspondiente a un primer volumen conocido en la cámara (26) de calibración; en donde el segundo procedimiento de medición comprende: controlando la primera y segunda bombas (P1, P2) para operar en una segunda combinación de frecuencias que difiere de la primera combinación de frecuencias y da como resultado una segunda diferencia de caudal entre los caudales generados por la primera y segunda bombas (P1, P2), y medir, mediante el detector de nivel de fluido, un segundo período de tiempo correspondiente a un segundo cambio en el nivel de fluido de diálisis en la cámara (26) de calibración como resultado de la segunda diferencia de caudal, el segundo cambio en el nivel de fluido de diálisis correspondiente a un segundo volumen conocido en la cámara (26) de calibración; y que la unidad (30) de control está además configurada para calcular al menos uno de los volúmenes de carrera de la primera y la segunda bombas (P1, P2) en función de la primera y la segunda combinación de frecuencias, el primer y segundo período de tiempo, y el primer y segundo volúmenes conocidos.
