Abstract

Un sistema de perforación para taladrar un agujero de pozo que tiene una o más válvulas o estranguladores para controlar la presión corriente arriba del caudal de fluido de perforación dentro de una operación de perforación con presión controlada. Se obtiene una medición del caudal de fluido de perforación del agujero de pozo. Con base en la medición obtenida, el caudal de fluido de perforación se distribuye de forma selectiva a través de uno o más de una pluralidad de caudalímetros, tales como caudalímetros de tipo Coriolis. Se obtiene una lectura del caudal de fluido de perforación de el(los) caudalímetros seleccionado(s). La presión corriente arriba se controla en el caudal de fluido de perforación con la mencionada una o más válvulas, con base, al menos parcialmente, en la lectura del mencionado uno o más caudalímetros seleccionados. La lectura puede ser una velocidad de caudal, una presión, o similar, comparada con las capacidades de los caudalímetros.
