Abstract

The present invention relates to a labeled container.

BACKGROUND OF THE TECHNIQUE

In several service sectors, the application is known on a package of a label that shows indications and information about the contents of the package itself. In particular, but not with exclusive reference to the beverage industry, for example, drinks such as water, beer, wine and soft drinks are normally distributed in the market in glass or plastic bottles in which a label bearing the label is attached. trademark of the beverage, as well as a series of details related to the product, for example, the ingredients, the bottling date, the expiration date, the producer, etc. The label consists of a sheet of plastic or paper that wraps around and sticks around the cylindrical surface of the bottle.

The label can also be used as a support and vehicle for auxiliary components not necessarily directly related to the bottled product.

In some cases, for example, the label has a part that must be cut from the rest of the label and that acts as a discount coupon for the purchase of other products, or as an item that is set aside and collected to complete a collection of points, an album or something similar.

However, these labeled containers have some drawbacks.

The labels that have a part to be cut, for example, have the inconvenience that they need the end user to cut the label, which entails a considerable loss and has the risk that he or she, due to laziness or indolence, Do not perform the operation and the label ends up discarded along with the bottle without being cut.

It should also be stressed that the part to be cut is generally visible and, in particular, is clearly visible to the end user at the time of purchase. In some cases, however, the producer is interested in keeping the auxiliary component hidden in order to create a kind of suspense and increase the curiosity of the buyer but, clearly, these labels are not very suitable to achieve this purpose.

In other cases, instead, a gadget is attached to the outer surface of the tag (for example, a deck of cards or other gifts of any kind) that the buyer can remove from the tag and use separately.

In these cases there are also, however, several drawbacks.

In fact, there are frequent occasions when the device hits other objects during transport of the bottle, with the risk of accidentally damaging or separating it from the bottle before it is acquired by the end user. In these cases, the contraption cannot be taken advantage of by the end user and represents a useless waste of materials and an unnecessary cost for the producer.

It is further emphasized that, similar to the parts of the label that must be cut, in these cases also, the device attached to the outer surface of the label remains visible and clearly visible to the end user at the time of purchase,

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a package with a label that is practical, easy and functional to use to distribute auxiliary components such as, for example, discount coupons, gadgets, items to be set aside and collected, etc. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a package with a label that allows to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art in the field of a low cost solution that is simple, rational, easy and efficient to use.

The above objectives are achieved by means of the present package with label according to claim 1, in which a package is described according to the preamble of US 1 686354 A.

EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

With particular reference to such figures, globally indicated by 1 is a container with label.

The package 1 comprises a content component 2 suitable for containing one or more substances.

The substances contained in the containing component 2 are preferably in a liquid state (such as water, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, etc.) or in a powdered state (such as flour, sugar, etc.), but other substances cannot be discarded. embodiments in which the content component 2 is designed to contain substances in solid state.

In the embodiments shown in the illustrations, for example, the containment component 2 consists of a bottle for containing liquids.

It is understood, in any case, that the content component 2 consists of any type of container, can, cardboard, box, case, cage, barrel, barrel, tin, etc.

The containment component 2 has an outer surface 2a which, for example, has a cylindrical shape of circular section.

On the outer surface 2a, at least one label 3 can be associated in sheets.

The label 3 is made of a substantially flexible material, such as a plastic film (for example, PET) or a sheet of paper.

When the label 3 is made of PET, its thickness varies approximately between 0.1 and 0.8 mm.

On the other hand, when label 3 is made of paper, its weight varies between 50 and 350 g / m2.

Said thickness / weight values make it possible to obtain a label 3 in the form of a sheet flexible enough to wrap the containment components 2.

More in detail, the label 3 consists of a band with a height that varies between 5 and 20 cm and that the bottle 2 is wrapped around the entire circumference of the outer surface 2a.

The label 3 has a first face 3a, which rotates substantially in front of the outer surface 2a of the containment component 2 and, a second face 3b, which is opposite the first face 3a and which carries indications / information 4 related to the substance contained in the content component 2.

The first face 3a is combined with the outer surface 2a by interposing a first layer of adhesive material 5.

This does not necessarily imply that the entire surface of the label 3 is covered with the first layer of adhesive material 5; on the contrary, the first layer of adhesive material 5 is preferably applied only on a small part of the label 3. In fact, the first layer of adhesive material 5 is only applied on a first part of the first face 3a, a second part of the first face 3a which is, however, completely without the first layer of adhesive material 5.

The removal of the label 3 from the containment component 2 is done by tearing, that is, by lacerating the label in correspondence with the first layer of adhesive material 5.

To facilitate the removal of the label 3, the first layer of adhesive material 5 consists of an adhesive of the removable type and, according to the claims, is a glue of the non-reusable type suitable to allow the separation of the label 3 from the containment component 2 and avoiding any fresh gluing again.

In other words, the first layer of adhesive material 5 produces an adhesive force that the user can overcome in order to manually separate the label 3 from the containment component 2.

However, once the label 3 has been removed, the adhesive capacity of the first layer of adhesive material 5 is depleted and the label 3 can no longer be reattached to the containing component 2 and must be disposed of as waste.

The package 1 also comprises at least one auxiliary component 6 in sheets.

The auxiliary component 6, for example, consists of a discount coupon, an advertising sheet, a collectible card, a point collection element or something similar.

In general, the auxiliary component 6 shows any other type of indication / information 7, not necessarily related to the indications / information 4 shown on the label 3.

The auxiliary component 6 is located face to face between the outer surface 2a and the first face 3a, the label 3 can be separated from the containment component 2 to collect the auxiliary component 6.

In this regard, it is specified that, in the present treaty, to say that the auxiliary component 6 is located face to face between the outer surface 2a and the first face 3a means that the auxiliary component 6 is inserted into the space between the containment component 2 and the label 3, with a face directed towards the outer surface 2a of the containment component 2 and a face directed towards the first face 3a of the label 3.

Preferably, the auxiliary component 6 is made of a substantially flexible material, such as a plastic film or a sheet of paper, similar to the label. However, it cannot be ruled out that, alternatively, the auxiliary component 6 consists of a substantially rigid sheet, of the type of a chip, a card or any type of device made of sheets.

The auxiliary component 6 has a surface extension smaller than the surface extension of the label 3 and is completely covered by the label 3.

This means that, on the one hand, the label 3 acts as a physical protection of the auxiliary component 6 and that it is not exposed outwards and, on the other hand, it allows keeping the auxiliary component 6 hidden and not visible until the label itself is removed.

According to the claims, the auxiliary component 6 is combined with at least one between the outer surface 2a and the first face 3a by the interposition of a second layer of adhesive materials, in which the auxiliary component 6 is glued to the first face 3a of the label 3 and is applied to the content component 2 together with the label itself.

The second layer of adhesive material 8 consists of an adhesive of the removable type, for example a weak or similar glue, which allows the auxiliary component 6 to be held in position between the outer surface 2a and the first face 3a while the label 3 remains combined with the containment component 2 and separate auxiliary component 6 from tag 3 when tag 3 is removed from containment component 2.

In a useful way, the second layer of adhesive material 8 is only applied on a small part of the auxiliary component 6 in order to ensure its easy removal.

The second layer of adhesive material 8 is only applied on the second part of the first face 3a, that is, the one that does not have the first layer of adhesive material 5.

To obtain the package 1 shown in illustrations 1 to 3, the manufacturing process according to claim 5 has to be carried out comprising the steps of:

- supply of the containment component 2 with the outer surface 2a;

- supply of the label 3 with the first face 3a and the second face 3b;

- supply of auxiliary component 6;

- combination of the label 3 with the outer surface 2a, with the first face 3a substantially oriented towards the outer surface 2a and the auxiliary component 6 located face to face between the outer surface 2a and the first face 3a, the label 3 can be removed from the containment component 2 to collect the auxiliary component 6.

Preferably, the step of supplying the label 3 comprises supplying a sheet 9 wrapped in a coil 10 and cutting the sheet 9 to obtain the label 3 (Figure 4).

The use of a coil 10 facilitates the mechanization and automation of the process, making it possible to obtain a

plurality of labels 3 in a practical and easy way.

Also, starting from the coil 10, in addition, allows the auxiliary component 6 to be glued to the sheet 9 before the cutting phase.

In this way, the label 3 separated from the coil 1 0 already supports the auxiliary component 6 and only has to be applied to the containment component 2.

The application of the auxiliary component 6 to the coil 10, for example, can be carried out by means of a machine 11 of the type shown in Figures 6 and 7, which comprises:

- a base structure 12;

- a unwinding unit 13, which is combined with the base structure 12, supports the coil 10 and allows it to be unwound. The unwinding unit 13, for example, comprises a first roller 14 that holds the coil 10 in a rotating manner around its substantially horizontally arranged axis and one or more unwind cylinders 15 extending the sheet 9;

- a worktable 16, combined with the base structure 12 and on which the sheet 9 from the unwinding unit 13 circulates;

- an application unit 17, installed on top of the worktable 16 and suitable for applying the auxiliary components 6 on the sheet 9;

- a rewinding unit 18 that is combined with the base structure 12 and is suitable for winding the sheet 9 from the work table 16 and forming a new coil 10.

The rewind unit 18, for example, comprises a second roller 19, which is motor driven and supports the new coil 10; Y

- a series of control sensors 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d, 20e, 20f combined with the base structure 12 and intended to check the correct operation of the machine 11.

Control sensors 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d, 20e, 20f, for example, comprise:

A first sensor 20a arranged in correspondence with the unwinding unit 13 (in particular in correspondence with the first roller 14) and suitable for detecting the end of the unwinding;

- a second sensor 20b arranged in correspondence with the unwinding unit 13 (in particular in correspondence with the unwinding cylinders 15) and suitable for detecting any breakage of the sheet 9 that could adversely affect the normal operation of the machine 11;

- a third sensor 20c installed above the worktable 16, downstream of the application unit 17, and suitable for detecting the presence of the auxiliary component 6 in the sheet 9;

- a fourth sensor 20d installed above the worktable 16, downstream of the application unit 17, and suitable for detecting a correct centering of the auxiliary component 6 in the sheet 9;

- a fifth sensor 20e installed in the vicinity of the rewind unit 18 and suitable for detecting the end of the rewind;

- a sixth sensor 20 installed in the vicinity of the second roller 19 and suitable for checking the correct tensioning of the sheet 9.

However, alternative solutions in which one or more of the above sensors 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d, 20c, 20f cannot be ruled out.

In the embodiment shown in Figure 6, the auxiliary components 6 to be applied on the sheet 9 consist of a series of self-adhesive labels that, therefore, have their own glue layer and are rolled to form a roll 21 .

Therefore, the application unit 17 consists of a system that unwinds the roll 21, separates the self-adhesive labels 6 from the roll 21 and applies them on the sheet 9 that slides along the worktable 16.

In the embodiment shown in Figure 7, on the other hand, the auxiliary components 6 to be applied on the sheet 9 are without glue and are arranged on top of each other to form a stack 22.

Therefore, the application unit 17 comprises a dispenser 23 arranged in the vicinity of the worktable 16 and suitable for applying the second layer of adhesive material 8 on the sheet 9.

Downstream of the dispenser 23, the application unit 17 comprises a distributor 24 that takes the auxiliary components 6 one by one from the stack 22 and applies them on the sheet 9 that slides along the worktable 16. Thanks to the machine 11, the labels 3 and the auxiliary components 6 are collected together in the new coil 10, which is subsequently cut to separate the various labels 3.

After cutting, the process contemplates attaching the label 3 to the outer surface 2a (figure 5).

In an alternative solution of the package 1 which is not included in the claims and shown in Figures 8 and 9, the label 3 is made of shrink-wrapped material and is shaped to form a tube.

The tube 3 is attached to the container 1 without using glue because, once placed around the containing component 2, it is combined with this by shrinking.

In other words, the tube 3 initially has a diameter such that it allows the containing component 2 to be inserted into it.

When applying heat at a certain temperature, the label 3 shrinks and adheres strongly to the walls of the containment component 2.

For its removal from the container 1, the tube-shaped label 3 comprises at least one pre-established fracture zone 25 that can be easily torn.

The preset fracture zone 25 extends in the vertical direction of the container 1 and consists, for example, of a perforation line or a section with reduced cross section.

To obtain the package 1 shown in Figures 8 and 9, the manufacturing procedure illustrated above is implemented with the appropriate adaptations.

The application of the auxiliary components 6 to the labels 3, for example, can be carried out again by means of one of the machines 1 shown in Figures 6 and 7. Once the auxiliary components 6 have been glued, the sheet 9 only It must be wrapped around itself to form the tube to be applied to the containment component 2 by shrink wrapping, as shown in Figures 8 and 9.

Indeed, it has been proven how the present invention achieves the pre-established objectives.

In this regard, it should also be added that the package according to the invention is such that it facilitates its disposal and complete recycling.

It should be remembered, in fact, that most of the traditional type containers with a label are made of different materials (for example, cardboard / aluminum for the containment component and PET for the label or glass for the containment component and paper for the label), which after use, must be separated and recycled separately.

In many cases, however, due to negligence or superficiality, users forget to separate the label from the containment component, with obvious problems of an ecological nature.

The presence of the auxiliary component 6, on the other hand, requires the user to separate the label 3 from the containment component 2 to recover the auxiliary component itself.

Furthermore, with reference to the embodiment of Figures 1 to 3, the particular solution of supplying a first layer of adhesive material 5 of the non-reusable, non-reusable type means that, once the label 3 has been separated, it cannot rejoin the content component 2 which forces the user to remove it separately.

Similar considerations can also be made with reference to the solution of Figures 8 and 9.

The label 3 in the form of a tube wrapped around the containment components 2 must be removed by tearing the pre-established fracture area 25, after which it is no longer possible to attach it again to the containing element 2.
