Abstract

Un aparato de detección (20) para detectar y supervisar corrientes de fuga en cadenas de discos aislantes de un sistema de energía eléctrica, comprendiendo el aparato: (a) una unidad de detección (20) configurada para acoplarse a un capuchón (14) de una cadena de discos aislantes (10), incluyendo la unidad de detección: (i) un disco de detección (21) configurado para rodear el capuchón, incluyendo el disco de detección un conjunto de discos inferiores conductores (24), un conjunto de discos superiores conductores (26), un conjunto de discos aislantes (27) intercalado entre los conjuntos de discos conductores superiores e inferiores, y una rejilla conductora (28) conectada a una parte inferior del conjunto de discos inferiores para proporcionar un contacto uniforme entre el disco de detección y una superficie de un disco aislante; y (ii) un alojamiento (23) conectado al disco de detección, incluyendo el alojamiento componentes electrónicos configurados para medir y notificar corrientes de fuga en un disco aislante; y (b) donde las corrientes de fuga en una superficie del disco aislante son interceptadas por el disco de detección y transferidas al alojamiento para su procesamiento y notificación por los componentes electrónicos.
