Abstract

Método de extracción parcial del contenido de hierro de minerales de cromita, caracterizado porque se oxida el radical hierro en la molécula de cronita por una calcinación oxidante, realizada a temperaturas tales y con un suministro de oxígeno tal para oxidar el hierro presenta en la mólecula de cromita a Fe2O3, seguida por la calcinación reductora a temperatura tales y con un suministro de agente reductor tal en forma de gases derivados de cualquiera de diferentes fuentes originales que reducirá el Fe 2 O3 formando en la oscilación oxidante en parte a Fe3 O4 y en parte a un estado inferior de oxidación y en parte a Fe metálico, y lixiviar después el hierro soluble en solventes apropiados.
