Abstract
Un panel de yeso que tiene un núcleo de un material compuesto orgánico-inorgánico que comprende una mezcla de: un almidón sustituido insoluble en agua fría que tiene un grado de sustitución de entre el 1,5 y el 2,5 % en peso, estando dicho almidón sustituido con al menos un grupo éter o éster y que tiene un porcentaje en peso de sólidos con una viscosidad de 1000 cps y a una temperatura de 65,6 °C (150 °F) en un intervalo del 9-43 %; agua y una fase inorgánica que comprende yeso, estando la fase inorgánica al menos parcialmente hidratada por el agua, en donde el almidón sustituido está presente como una película sustancialmente dispersa en todo el material compuesto orgánico-inorgánico, de tal forma que el material compuesto orgánico-inorgánico está sustancialmente reforzado.
