Abstract

La presente divulgación se refiere más particularmente a suspensiones en base a sulfato de calcio útiles, por ejemplo, para hacer tableros de yeso para la construcción de edificios, así como a métodos para usarlas, por ejemplo, para hacer tableros de yeso; en un aspecto, la presente divulgación proporciona una composición de suspensión de sulfato de calcio que comprende sulfato de calcio básicamente presente en la forma de uno o más hidratos, estando el sulfato de calcio presente en una cantidad en el rango de 70-99.8 %p en base seca, calculada como estuco; y un almidón catiónico presente en una cantidad de 0.10-10 %p de la cantidad de sulfato de calcio como estuco en base seca, estando el almidón catiónico sustituido por grupos amina y/o amonio y que tiene un valor de %N en el rango de 0.10 %p a 2 %p, y un valor de viscosidad de RVA de al menos 100 cP a 65 °C y 16 %p; y agua, en una cantidad suficiente para formar una suspensión; la divulgación proporciona además materiales en base a yeso útiles como materiales de edificios, por ejemplo, para su uso como tableros para edificios en construcción de paredes y cielorrasos de edificios.
