Abstract

Dispositivo de autenticación para la autenticación visual de un documento o artículo que comprende una marcación de seguridad de polarización circular (M), comprendiendo dicho dispositivo: al menos una fuente de luz (101; 201a, 201b), caracterizado por que a) dicho dispositivo tiene dos filtros de polarización circular (102L, 102R) de polarizaciones opuestas y es maniobrable para producir simultáneamente dos haces de luz de polarizaciones circulares opuestas a fin de formar simultáneamente dos zonas de iluminación adyacentes (M1, M2) de polarizaciones circulares opuestas sobre la marcación de seguridad de polarización circular (M), o alternativamente b) dicho dispositivo tiene unos medios de polarización para producir polarizaciones circulares opuestas alternantes y es maniobrable para producir un solo haz de luz de polarización circular opuesta alternante a fin de formar una zona de iluminación con luz alternante circularmente polarizada a la izquierda y a la derecha sobre la marcación de seguridad de polarización circular (M); permitiendo así que un usuario juzgue visualmente, sin un equipo adicional, la luz reflejada por la marcación de seguridad bajo cada tipo de luz circularmente polarizada para autenticar el documento o artículo, y en donde el dispositivo de autenticación tiene la forma de un cilindro alargado o una barra con una sección transversal del orden de 1 a 5 centímetros cuadrados.
