Abstract

Mejoras introducidas en la fabricación de elementos electroluminiscentes que comprenden una capa electroluminiscente, que tiene a amos lados un electrodo, de los cuales por lo menos uno, es transparente, y una envoltura que consiste parcialmente de un agente de sellado impermeable a la humedad y parcialmente de un material que, cuando es de igual espesor, es menos permeable la humedad que el agente de sellado, caracterizadas por el hecho de que la parte de la envoltura que no consiste del agente de sellado, tiene la forma de un recipiente que comprende la capa electroluminiscente y el electrodo, y que el agente de sellado es aplicado en el recipiente de manera tal, que el largo mínimo del paso desde cualquier punto de la capa electroluminiscente hacia el exterior a través del agente de sellado, es mayor que el espesor menor de la parte de la envoltura que no consiste de agente de sellado.
