Abstract

Aprovechamiento de la redundancia inherente en un IED multifunción.#Se divulgan en el presente documento sistemas y procedimientos para aprovechar la redundancia inherente de entradas de medición eléctricas disponibles en dispositivos electrónicos inteligentes (IED) basados en microprocesadores. Específicamente, un IED puede recibir una pluralidad de mediciones eléctricas asociadas con un sistema de suministro de energía eléctrica, tal como mediciones asociadas con un generador. Un primer módulo de protección puede estar configurado para detectar un primer tipo de perturbación eléctrica usando un primer subconjunto de la pluralidad de mediciones eléctricas. Un segundo módulo de protección puede estar configurado para detectar un segundo tipo de perturbación eléctrica usando un segundo subconjunto de la pluralidad de mediciones eléctricas. Un primer módulo de protección redundante puede estar configurado para verificar la detección del primer tipo de perturbación eléctrica usando al menos una porción del segundo subconjunto de la pluralidad de mediciones eléctricas.
