Abstract

La presente invención hace referencia a una cepa bacteriana del acido láctico perteneciente al género Lactobacillus, caracterizada porque presenta actividad α-galactosidasa y actividad β-glucosidasa, para la producción de isoflavonas activas. Así mismo, la presente invención hace referencia al uso de al menos una cepa bacteriana del ácido láctico perteneciente al género Lactobacillus para la elaboración de un producto fermentado funcional a base de leche de soja con un alto contenido en isoflavonas activas, para la elaboración de un suplemento alimenticio, y para la elaboración de un nutraceútico a base de concentrado o liofilizado bacteriano. Por último, la presente invención protege un método de prevención y/o tratamiento de una enfermedad mediada por estrógenos.
