Abstract
Procedimiento mejorado para el funcionamiento de un aparato para fabricar ácido acético, del tipo que comprende un sistema de producción que tiene un reactor que contiene un medio de reacción y una instalación de purificación del producto en el que el sistema de producción está conectado para el paso de gases hacia una torre de absorción, cuya mejora comprende: (a) la carbonilación de metanol o derivados reactivos del mismo en el reactor en presencia de un catalizador metálico del Grupo VIII y un promotor de ioduro de metilo, manteniendo la concentración de agua en el reactor entre 1 y 10% en peso del medio de reacción y simultáneamente mantener en el reactor una presión parcial predeterminada de monóxido de carbono; (b) dejar salir los no condensables del sistema de producción a efectos de proporcionar evacuación de gas a baja presión solamente; (c) alimentar el gas de evacuación a baja presión procedente del sistema de producción a la torre de absorción, incluyendo el gas de evacuación ioduro de metilo y opcionalmente y de forma adicional componentes voláti-les; (d) suministrar un disolvente depurador a la torre de absorción, comprendiendo el disolvente depurador metanol, acetato de metilo o mezclas de los mismos; (e) establecer contacto del gas de evacuación a baja presión con el disolvente del depurador eliminando de esta manera ioduro de metilo y opcionalmente componentes volátiles adicionales del gas y absorbiendo ioduro de metilo y opcionalmente componentes volátiles en el disolvente depurador; y (f) alimentar una corriente de retorno del dispositivo de absorción incluyendo disolvente depurador y ioduro de metilo absorbido y opcionalmente componentes volátiles adicionales absorbidos al reactor.
Claims (5)
1. Procedimiento mejorado para el funcionamiento
de un aparato para fabricar ácido acético, del tipo que comprende un
sistema de producción que tiene un reactor que contiene un medio de
reacción y una instalación de purificación del producto en el que el
sistema de producción está conectado para el paso de gases hacia una
torre de absorción, cuya mejora comprende:
- (a)
- la carbonilación de metanol o derivados reactivos del mismo en el reactor en presencia de un catalizador metálico del Grupo VIII y un promotor de ioduro de metilo, manteniendo la concentración de agua en el reactor entre 1 y 10% en peso del medio de reacción y simultáneamente mantener en el reactor una presión parcial predeterminada de monóxido de carbono;
- (b)
- dejar salir los no condensables del sistema de producción a efectos de proporcionar evacuación de gas a baja presión solamente;
- (c)
- alimentar el gas de evacuación a baja presión procedente del sistema de producción a la torre de absorción, incluyendo el gas de evacuación ioduro de metilo y opcionalmente y de forma adicional componentes voláti-les;
- (d)
- suministrar un disolvente depurador a la torre de absorción, comprendiendo el disolvente depurador metanol, acetato de metilo o mezclas de los mismos;
- (e)
- establecer contacto del gas de evacuación a baja presión con el disolvente del depurador eliminando de esta manera ioduro de metilo y opcionalmente componentes volátiles adicionales del gas y absorbiendo ioduro de metilo y opcionalmente componentes volátiles en el disolvente depurador; y
- (f)
- alimentar una corriente de retorno del dispositivo de absorción incluyendo disolvente depurador y ioduro de metilo absorbido y opcionalmente componentes volátiles adicionales absorbidos al reactor.
2. Método, según la reivindicación 1, en el que
el catalizador metálico del Grupo VIII es un catalizador
soportado.
3. Método, según la reivindicación 2, en el que
el catalizador metálico del Grupo VIII es un catalizador de rodio
soportado.
4. Método, según la reivindicación 3, en el que
el catalizador de rodio está soportado sobre un polímero de
polivinilpirrolidona reticulado.
5. Método, según la reivindicación 3, en el que
el catalizador de rodio está soportado sobre un polímero de
polivinilpiridina reticulado.
