Abstract

Un proceso para la preparación de (3aR, 4S, 7aS)-4- bromooctahidro-7a-metil-1H-indeno-1, 5-diona, caracterizado porque comprende: (a) reducción de (S)-(+)-2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 7a-hexahidro-7a- metil-indeno, 1-5-diona mediante su reacción con diisobutil- aluminohidruro y triamida hexametilfosfórica en la presencia de un catalizador de la fórmula R-Cu, R1 R2-Si- en donde R es R3 R1, R2 y R3 son cada uno, independientemente, seleccionados del grupo consistente de C1-7 alquilo, fenil, fenil sustituido con por lo menos un grupo C1-4 alquilo, benzil o benzil sustituido con por lo menos uno de los grupos C1-4 alquilo para formar un reducido; y (b) el tratamiento del reducido con un electrófilo contenedor de bromuro para producir (3aR, 4S, 7aS)-4- bromooctahidro-7a-metil-1H-indeno-1, 5-diona.
