Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un dispositivo para la difusión de una sustancia volátil activa al aire ambiente o a espacios cerrados, que comprende un alojamiento o carcasa macizo y un vehiculo sólido que contiene dicha sustancia volátil, en donde dicho vehiculo sólido está dispuesto en al menos un rebajo formado en la carcasa, teniendo el al menos un rebajo una profundidad y una anchura que se eligen con relación a la composición del vehículo sólido que contiene la sustancia activa, de modo que la relación de la superficie de evaporación del vehículo sólido a la masa del vehiculo sólido dispuesto dentro de dicho rebajo sea tal que se obtenga una velocidad de liberación del vapor esencialmente constante y una evaporación total de dicha sustancia volátil activa durante la vida activa del dispositivo. Los rebajos pueden ser de diversas formas geométricas con el fin de dar un aspecto agradable. La sustancia activa volátil puede ser una composición perfumante. desodorante, desinfectante oun repelente de insectos.
