Abstract
Procedimiento para la producción de cristales de cloruro de sodio, a partir de una salmuera de cloruro de sodio contaminada con cloruro de potasio y iones sulfato, según el cual, en una primera etapa, se añade un compuesto de calcio a la salmuera para precipitar el sulfato de calcio que se separa y se recoge una solución acuosa; en una segunda etapa, se somete la solución acuosa de la primera etapa a una evaporación para cristalizar el cloruro de sodio y se recogen separadamente cristales de cloruro de sodio y un agua madre; y, en una tercera etapa, se somete el agua madre de la segunda etapa a un enfriamiento para cristalizar una parte al menos del cloruro de potasio, caracterizado porque se regula la cantidad de compuesto de calcio de la primera etapa y el enfriamiento de la tercera etapa de forma que los iones sulfato precipitan al estado de glauberita en la primera etapa y de glaserita en la tercera etapa.
