Abstract
Un método para la producción de los pellets de hierro reducido compuesto de los siguientes pasos: calentamiento de los pellets de hierro oxidado que contienen material carbón en el horno de reducción para producir los pellets de hierro reducido con una densidad aparente no mayor de 4, 0 g/cm3; descarga de los pellets de hierro reducido del horno de reducción; y enfriamiento de los pellets de hierro reducido utilizando agua a una velocidad media en enfriamiento de entre 1.500ºC/min y 500ºC/min cuando las superficies de los pellets de hierro reducido se enfrían de 650ºC a 150ºC.
