Una estructura (24, 28, 30, 32, 34) de acero destinada al refuerzo de elastómeros, comprendiendo dicha estructura de acero uno o más elementos de acero, siendo dicha estructura de acero un filamento (10) de acero, un haz de filamentos de acero no retorcidos o un torón de acero de filamentos de acero retorcidos o cualquier combinación de los mismos, teniendo dichos filamentos (10) de acero un diámetro que va desde 0, 04 mm hasta 1, 10 mm, teniendo dichos filamentos (10) de acero una composición de acero que comprende un contenido mínimo de carbono de 0, 60 %, un contenido de manganeso que va desde 0, 20 % a 0, 90 %, y un contenido de silicio que va desde 0, 10 % a 0, 90 %, estando cubiertos dichos filamentos (10) de acero con un revestimiento resistente a la corrosión o con un revestimiento que favorezca la adherencia al caucho, caracterizada porque al menos uno de dichos elementos (10) de acero está provisto de un primer rizado y de un segundo rizado, encontrándose dicho primer rizado en unplano que es sustancialmente diferente del plano del segundo rizado.
