Control programable con memoria (S1.. Sn) con una memoria (SP1.. SPn) para memorizar datos de usuario (3), programas de aplicación (4), datos de configuración (5), y/o un sistema operativo (6), donde el control programable con memoria (S1.. Sn) está previsto para el control de dispositivos (M1..Mn) de un sistema de automatización (1) y para el funcionamiento en una red (2), y con un dispositivo de control (St1.. Stn) para la carga de los datos de usuario (3), de los programas de aplicación (4), de los datos de configuración (5), y/o del sistema operativo (6) a través de la red (2) desde un ordenador central (R) como copias de trabajo, en particular, en el caso de un fallo del control programable con memoria (S1.. Sn) y/o en el caso de una sustitución del control programable en la memoria (S1..
