Abstract
Un componente para uso en un dispositivo de tratamiento de gases, componente que comprende un material (12, 13; 12a, 13a; 16, 17; 16a, 17a) dieléctrico que tiene aberturas (14; 14a; 19; 19a) que se extienden a su través en la dirección del flujo de gases que atraviesa al componente cuando está en uso, caracterizado por la combinación de características de que las aberturas (14; 14a; 19; 19a) tienen una sección transversal con una configuración que tiene entrantes y son de tal forma que hay interconexión a través del material dieléctrico de las regiones de dicho material dieléctrico que definen lados opuestos de la parte más estrecha de las aberturas (14; 14a; 19; 19a) cuando se mide en al menos una dirección transversal a dicha dirección del flujo de gases, y se proporcionan medios para aplicar un potencial eléctrico a través de al menos una parte del componente en dicha dirección transversal, o en una de dichas direcciones transversales, con lo que la caída de tensión eléctrica a través dedicha parte más estrecha de las aberturas (14; 14a; 19; 19a) es mayor que la caída de tensión eléctrica que se produciría a su través si la abertura estuviera rellenada con el material dieléctrico.
