Abstract

Módulo para airbag con una bolsa de gas, un generador de gas (5) y una tapa de recubrimiento (12) del módulo, cuya zona de rasgado se encuentra por encima del generador de gas (5), estando el generador de gas (5) colocado en un difusor (1) o en una carcasa con aberturas de salida para la corriente de gas, rodeando al generador de gas (5), y extendiéndose el difusor (1) o la carcasa en una zona inferior (2) de la pared lateral a una distancia del generador de gas (5), extendiéndose la zona inferior (2) de pared lateral, sobresaliendo por fuera del generador de gas (5), hacia arriba en dirección hacia la zona de rasgado de la tapa de recubrimiento (12) del módulo y rodeando por los menos aproximadamente a la misma sección transversal que su parte situada junto al generador de gas, caracterizado porque el difusor (1) o la carcasa tiene una configuración en forma escalonada con una zona inferior (2) de pared lateral, una zona superior (4) de pared lateral y una zona central (3) de pared lateral, unida a la zona superior (4) y a la zona inferior (2) de la pared lateral, extendiéndose el difusor (1) o la carcasa en su zona inferior (2) de pared lateral a una distancia del generador de gas (5) y sobresaliendo por fuera del generador de gas (5) en dirección hacia la zona de rasgado de la tapa de recubrimiento (12) del módulo para airbag, teniendo el difusor (1) o la carcasa en la zona superior (4) de la pared lateral una superficie de sección menor que la del generador de gas (5) y estando previstas en esta zona aberturas de salida (6, 16) para la corriente de gases del generador de gas hacia la bolsa de gas (10) en sentido transversal al eje longitudinal del difusor (1), y estando la zona central (3) de la pared lateral configurada en forma deformable.
