Abstract

Un artículo absorbente (1, 26) tal como un pañal, una compresa sanitaria, una compresa de incontinencia, etc., que incluye extremos que se extienden longitudinalmente (6, 7) y extremos que se extienden transversalmente (8, 9), y un cuerpo absorbente (23) dispuesto entre una capa inferior impermeable al líquido (21) y una capa superior permeable al líquido (22) destinada a quedar en el lado proximal del usuario que la utilice, y o bien 1) a cada lado de la línea central longitudinal de la capa superior (22) al menos una barrera de líquido que se extiende longitudinalmente (2, 3, 4, 5) formada por un material alargado, esencialmente impermeable al líquido y no elástico (10, 17) con dos bordes no elásticos longitudinales (11, 12, 18, 19), de modo que el primer borde no elástico (11, 18) va unido a la capa inferior o superior (21, 22) a lo largo de o adyacente a los extremos longitudinales (6, 7), y el segundo bordeno elástico (12, 19) va unido a un elemento elástico, alargado y preestirado (13, 14) para formar un borde de cierre fruncido estirable (32, 39) que se está llamado a quedar contra el usuario cuando se utiliza el artículo, o 2) sobre la capa superior (22), una capa final impermeable al líquido que está llamada a quedar contra el usuario, y que incluye un elástico para adaptar el artículo al cuerpo del usuario, una abertura destinada a quedar en coincidencia con el ano y el orificio de la uretra del usuario y un borde de cierre fruncido por un elemento elástico preestirado y alargado unido al borde de la capa final alrededor de la abertura, caracterizado porque el elemento elástico está constituido por un medio elástico (14) semejante a una banda con un primer y un segundo borde elástico longitudinal (15, 16), donde, al menos el primer borde elástico (15) va unido en estado estirado a un segundo borde no elástico (19) o al borde de la capa final, de tal modo que los bordes unidos entre sí constituyen el borde de cierre fruncido estirable (30) e incluye una parte libre longitudinal (16) que constituye un segundo borde de cierre estirable y esencialmente suave, estando unido el medio elástico (14) al material no elástico (17) o a la capa final, de modo que cuando se utiliza el artículo, el medio elástico (14) queda contra el usuario, con la parte libre (16) hacia la línea central y el borde de cierre fruncido estirable (39) hacia fuera de la citada línea central.
