Abstract

Procedimiento para llevar simultáneamente a una temperatura y una concentración óptimas un medio acuoso destinado al ataque de un mineral de bauxita en una insta lación de producción de alúmina según el procedimiento Bayer, que comprende las fases sucesivas de (a) a (f), en las que: a) se enfría y evapora, en un área de evaporación con expansión por etapas, el medio acuoso procedente del ataque que contiene un licor preñado; b) se separan las materias estériles, se precipita el trihidróxido de aluminio y se recupera el medio acuoso destinado al ataque, formado por licor descompuesto; c) eventualmente, se elimina mediante evaporación, en una sección de evaporación específica, la cantidad de agua necesaria y complementaria de la que ya se ha evaporado en la fase (a); d) se recalienta en varias etapas el medio acuoso destinado al ataque; e) se utiliza en cada una de las etapas de la fase de recalentamiento (d) el vapor de expansión generado en cada una de las etapas de la fase de evaporación (a); f)se recalienta mediante vapor vivo el medio acuoso destinado al ataque procedente de la fase de recalentamiento (d); caracterizado porque se realiza, además de todas estas fases, una fase de recalentamiento y evaporación simultáneos del medio acuoso destinado al ataque.
