PROCEDIMIETO Y APARATO MODIFICADOS PARA DESCODIFICAR SIMBOLOS DE CODIGOS DE BARRAS UTILIZANDO UN ANALISIS DE LAS RELACIONES DEL TAMAÑO DEL MODULO PARA LAS BARRAS Y ESPACIOS DEL CODIGO DE BARRAS. LA INVENCION PUEDE APLICARSE A CUALQUIER CODIGO DE BARRAS QUE TENGA UNA O MAS ANCHURAS NOMINALES EN LAS BARRAS Y ESPACIOS, Y RESULTA PARTICULARMENTE UTIL EN LOS CODIGOS DE BARRAS QUE TENGAN MULTIPLES ANCHURAS EN LA ESPECIFICACION PARA EL CODIGO DE BARRAS Y EN SITUACIONES EN LAS QUE LA SEÑAL DEL CODIGO DE BARRAS TIENE UNA BAJA RELACION SEÑAL/FRACCION RUIDO, O ESTA DEGRADADA DEBIDO A UN CODIGO DE BARRAS DAÑADO, MANCHADO O SUCIO, O EN DONDE EL CODIGO DE BARRAS ES LEIDO CON UN ANGULO INFERIOR AL OPTIMO. LA INVENCION IDENTIFICA CARACTERES DESCODIFICADOS ERRONEAMENTE Y UTILIZA TECNICAS DE ADAPTACION PARA DESCODIFICAR LOS CARACTERES QUE ANTERIORMENTE NO ERAN DESCODIFICABLES O SE DESCODIFICABAN ERRONEAMENTE MEDIANTE LOS PROCEDIMIENTOS ESTANDAR, MEJORANDO CON ELLO EL RITMO DE DESCODIFICACION EN COMPARACION CON LAS TECNICAS ANTERIORES.
