EN EL CONOCIDO PROCESO DE BANDAS DE COLOR PARA EVITAR EL REGISTRO DE SEÑALES DE VIDEO, LA SALVA DE COLOR PRESENTE EN CADA LINEA DE VIDEO ACTIVO SE MODIFICA DE MODO QUE CUALQUIER REGISTRO POSTERIOR DE LA SEÑAL DE VIDEO EN CINTA DE VIDEO PRESENTE VARIACIONES EN LA FIDELIDAD DEL COLOR QUE APARECEN COMO BANDAS O FRANJAS DE ERROR DE COLOR INDESEADAS. ESTE PROCESO DE BANDAS DE COLOR SE MEJORA COMBINANDO LA MODIFICACION DE LA FASE DE LA SALVA DE COLOR EN SOLO PARTE DE LA SALVA DE COLOR. SE HAN OBTENIDO MEJORAS ADICIONALES INCORPORANDO TECNICAS DE ENSANCHAMIENTO DE LA ENVOLVENTE DE LA SALVA DE COLOR NORMAL HACIA EL BORDE POSTERIOR DE SINCRONIA HORIZONTAL Y HACIA EL INICIO DEL VIDEO ACTIVO.
