Abstract
Botanical capsules with hard coating and procedure for their manufacture. The capsules are made from botanical cellulose with a viscosity of 4-8 cps, at 20ºC and a concentration of 2%. In the main raw material, weighing 18-22%, 0.8-1.2% Gellan gum, 0.05-0.1% sodium citrate, 0.01-0.05% are mixed glycerin, 0.1-0.5% sucrose fatty acid ester, and 76.15-81.04% purified water. The capsules are manufactured by maintaining the temperature at 55-60ºC while the immersion tank (1) of the molding machine circulates at 25-30 rpm; introduce molding pins (2) into the solution for 10-15 s, transfer the pins (2) to a lower cooling equipment (3); and cool for 5-10 s; raising the pivots (2) towards the upper cooling equipment (5), cooling for 100-120 s, and controlling the flow of films formed on the pivots (2) with cold air; and moving the pivots (2) that have passed into the drying tunnel (6) and drying at 30-35ºC and at an air speed of 8-10 m/s for about 60 m; and stripping, cutting and mounting the dried capsules in the process unit (7).
