EN ESTE RECIPIENTE VAN COLOCADOS UNOS PRIMEROS INTERCAMBIADORES DE CALOR (4) QUE AL CARGAR EL ACUMULADOR DE HIELO (1) SON ATRAVESADOS POR UN FLUIDO REFRIGERADO. EL AGUA CONTENIDA EN EL RECIPIENTE (2) SE CONVIERTE EN HILO. PARA DESCARGAR ESTE ACUMULADOR DE HIELO SE PUEDE HACER PASAR A TRAVES DEL PRIMER INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR (4) UN FLUIDO QUE SE CONDUCE A TRAVES DE UN SEGUNDO INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR (11). EN ESTE SEGUNDO ACUMULADOR DE CALOR (11) HAY UN FLUIDO DE TRABAJO QUE SE PUEDE ENFRIAR Y QUE CIRCULA EN UN CIRCUITO CERRADO DE UN MEDIO DE TRABAJO (14), PUDIENDO CONDUCIRSE EL MEDIO DE TRABAJO QUE HA SIDO ENFRIADO DE ESTE MODO HASTA UNA INSTALACION DE REFRIGERACION. SIMULTANEAMENTE SE EXTRAE AGUA DEL RECIPIENTE DURANTE EL PROCESO DE DESCARGA A TRAVES DE UNOS MEDIOS DE DESCARGA (22), SE CONDUCEN A TRAVES DE UN TERCER INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR (18) Y SE DEVUELVEN AL RECIPIENTE (2) ATRAVES DE UNOS MEDIOS DE ALIMENTACION (27). EL MEDIO DE TRABAJO QUE HA SIDO PRERREFRIGERADO EN EL SEGUNDO INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR (11) SE HACE PASAR A TRAVES DEL TERCER INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR (18), DONDE SE LE SIGUE EXTRAYENDO CALOR. GRACIAS A ESTOS DOS CIRCUITOS SE CONSIGUE UN RENDIMIENTO OPTIMO DEL ACUMULADOR DE HIELO (1).
