Abstract
A glazing pane comprises a vitreous substrate bearing an at least 400 nm thick, sprayed, pyrolytic tin-antimony oxide coating with a Sb/Sn molar ratio of 0.05-0.5. The coated substrate has a light transmission (TL) of less than 35% and a selectivity (TL/TE) of at least 1.3. Pref. the substrate is made of coloured glass. Pref. the coating is 400-800 (esp. 450-700) nm thick, has a Sb/Sn molar ratio of 0.07-0.20 (esp. 0.08-0.15) and comprises a single exposed layer. The coated substrate pref. has a selectivity of at least 1.5, an energy transmission factor (TE) of less than 15 (pref. less than 10)% and a visible light reflection (RL) of less than 12%. The coating is pref. formed by spraying an aq. soln. contg. SnCl2 and SbCl3 onto a hot coloured (usually green or grey) glass substrate at 550-750 deg C.
