Abstract

The protector consists of a protection section (5) between panels (1,2) of the door which rotate at a hinged connection during opening or closing. The protection section spans the gap between the panels and has a section (7) attached to but not integral with the end (3) of one panel and extended by a curved section (7a) arching across and attached to end (4) of the second panel. The protection section is made from plastics or metal. The protection section flexes as the panels rotate w.r.t. one another. The gap between the projecting ends (3c,4c) of the panels which tends to narrow as the door is closed is filled by the protection section.
