Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a simple and low-cost mold by casting molten metal having a relatively low melting point in a cavity, then cooling to cure it, and then molding an outer or inner periphery of a rubber crawler on an inner surface of the metal. CONSTITUTION:An uneven stepped part is formed on a central part of a receiving plate 6c. Recesses (g) and protrusions (j) are so engaged that, when conforming to an inner periphery of a rubber crawler body 1, a protrusion 2c of a mandrel of the body 1 is engaged with the recess (g) and the protrusion (j) is engaged with an engaging hole 3 of the body 1. After molten metal is cast to be filled in a space (cavity) V, water is immediately poured to be cooled, and (since the protrusion in this case is engaged with the hole 3, the molten metal does not flow into the hole 3), a mold in which a pattern of an outer peripheral side of the body 1 is molded on an inner surface of the cured metal is molded. Thus, a low-cost producing or repairing simple mold of a rubber crawler can be simply manufactured by releasing it from the body without necessity of an advanced technique.
