UN PROCESO PARA LA PRODUCCION DE OLEFINAS QUE CONSISTE EN DESHIDROGENAR AL MENOS UN HIDROCARBURO DONANTE DE HIDROGENO QUE ESTA ESENCIALMENTE LIBRE DE INSATURACION OLEFINICA, POR EJEMPLO, UNA PARAFINA, EN PRESENCIA DE UNA CATALIZADOR DE DESHIDROGENACION Y EN PRESENCIA DE AL MENOS UN HIDROCARBURO RECEPTOR DE HIDROGENO QUE ESTA MAS ALTAMENTE INSATURADO QUE UNA MONOOLEFINA, POR EJEMPLO, UN DIENO Y/O ACETILENO, BAJO CONDICIONES EFECTIVAS PARA CAUSAR QUE AL MENOS PARTE DE DICHO HIDROCARBURO DONANTE DE HIDROGENO SE DESHIDROGENE Y AL MENOS PARTE DEL RECEPTOR DE HIDROGENO SE HIDROGENE. LA CANTIDAD DE RECEPTOR DE HIDROGENO SE TAL QUE HAY 0,5 A 20 MOLES DE DICHO DONANTE DE HIDROGENO PARA CADA MOL DE RECEPTOR DE HIDROGENO.
