Abstract

In a ceiling lamp (10) having a retaining clip (11) which can be accommodated in a ceiling cavity (40) and a seating flange (29) bearing against the visible surface (26) of the ceiling (25), said flange consists of transparent material, such as glass. An approximately circularly cylindrical hollow member (31) pointing towards the head part (12) of the retaining clip (11) is joined in a materially integral and form-fitting fashion to the inner circumference of the seating flange (29), forming a unitary lamp body. The circularly cylindrical hollow member (31) is overreached axially by the clip limbs (13) of the retaining clip (11). Integrally formed on the outer circumferential surface (32) of the circularly cylindrical hollow member (31) are locking beams (33) which are connected locked in a releasable fashion to in each case one mating locking means (15) provided on the side of the clip limb. The lamp holder fitting (36) pointing towards the seating flange (29) is attached to the head part (12). The built-in ceiling lamp (10) renders possible, with the furthest reaching use of transparent material, in particular glass, a simple design which is easy to handle and is suitable above all for the use of low-volt halogen lamps (37). <IMAGE>
