LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN CATALIZADOR PARA LAS REACCIONES QUIMICAS Y PETROQUIMICAS Y SU PROCESO DE FABRICACION. EL CATALIZADOR COMPRENDE UN OXIDO DE LOS METALES DE TRANSICION, DE LAS TIERRAS RARAS, O DE UN ACTINIDO, DE MOLIBDENO POR EJEMPLO, QUE COMPRENDE EN SUPERFICIE CARBUROS Y OXICARBUROS, PUDIENDOSE EL NUCLEO EL METAL O EL OXIDO. EL PROCESO DE FABRICACION CONSISTE EN HACER PASAR SOBRE EL OXIDO LA MEZCLA GASEOSA DE REACCION QUE CONTIENE PRODUCTOS CARBONADOS A LOS QUE SE QUIERE REALIZAR LA TRANSFORMACION QUIMICA CATALITICA A LA TEMPERATURA DE ESTA REACCION. LOS PRODUCTOS CARBONADOS PRESENTES EN LA MEZCLA PROVOCAN UNA CARBURACION PROGRESIVA DE LA SUPERFICIE DEL OXIDO Y UN AUMENTO PROGRESIVO TAMBIEN DE LA EFICACIA DEL CATALIZADOR. EL PROCESO SE APLICA EN PARTICULAR EN LA REFORMACION DE LOS HIDROCARBUROS PARA LO CUAL EL OXIDO DE MOLIBDENO MOO3 CONSTITUYE UN CATALIZADOR PREFERIDO.
