Abstract

Un procedimiento para preparar un quelato de Mn(II), que comprende hacer reaccionar MnO en un medio acuoso, a un pH no mayor que 5 y a una temperatura de 20 a 50º C, con un compuesto quelante distinto de EDTA, siendo el compuesto quelante sustancialmente insoluble en agua y estando sustancialmente protonizado, por cuanto que al menos el 75 % de los protones lábiles existentes en dicho compuesto quelante se presentan en su forma totalmente protonizada, y opcionalmente disolviendo a continuación el quelato de Mn(II) precipitado en una base acuosa.
