Abstract

Un procedimiento para producir polímeros basados en estireno que tienen configuración principalmente sindiotáctica en presencia de un catalizador que comprende (A) un compuesto de titanio y (B) unproducto de contacto de un compuesto de organoaluminio que contiene grupos metilo, y agua, en el queel producto de contacto (B) que tiene un peso molecular de 400 a 3.000 según se determina medianteel método de descenso del punto de congelación utilizando benceno tiene un componente de alto campomagnético de no más del 50% en la región de la señal del protón del grupo metilo debido a un enlace delgrupo aluminio-metilo (Al-CH3), estando el componente de alto campo magnético enla región de la señaldel protón del grupo aluminio-metilo (Al-CH3) según se determina mediante el método de absorción deresonancia magnética nuclear del protón, enel intervalo de-0,1 a -0,5ppm con el protón del grupo metilo(2,35 ppm) del tolueno bajo condiciones de medida con disolvente de tolueno como el estándar.
